Dear Wise Woman:
Welcome, my friend! You’re here to do your business with less hustle, aligned simplicity, and your soul’s magic!
I’m behind on the blog post because the Cosmos was proving that I needed more quiet time. I’ve been fighting a fever and cold and still feel like I’m in recovery mode, but I’m getting there.
Quiet time is so damn important for your daily well-being, whether you’re already in business or ready to pivot.
I talk about balance a lot, so I get that you might think I’m a broken record by now…
But I do it because I didn’t always have balance when I started out. Amidst the “new business owner” panic and perfectionism, I pushed for a solid couple of years and thought I had to do business a certain way.
Here’s the deal, though: if you don’t schedule in quiet time, you might not be nearly as creative and your output could suffer. ⤵️
Here are the thoughts that I’ve got for you:
- Have quiet time where you can get it and build rituals around it, if you can
- Rituals are sacred times when we can both settle and invigorate our work
- Bookend your days with something you cherish
- When we have stillness or quiet time – even minutes – it can help us boost our clarity and thoughtfulness and see things from different angles
- As our own bosses, we get to define our schedule and can weave this suggestion into our life with intention
Let’s Reflect and Wrap This Up:
While this topic might seem simple, try to commit to it for around two weeks.
Why two weeks, James?
Well, we hear about 21 days for a habit creation and whatnot, but I want you to do what works for you vs. the “norm.”
If you only try it for a few days, you might not see the full effect of quiet time on your well-being, but if you do it for more than a week and into a second week, you’ll have data points.
