5 Relationships You Want for a Successful Business

by | Aug 31, 2024 | Soul-Full Purpose and Business

Dear Wise Woman:

Welcome to FSW, my friend! You’re here to do your business with less hustle, aligned simplicity, and your soul’s magic!

Whether you’ve done this for a bit or you’re pivoting from job to business, it feels like you have to be on your A-game as people trickle into your life.

I’ve had to figure out a key lesson on this journey: relationships. The good, the bad, and the neutral.

And sometimes you don’t know who you’re dealing with, or their style, until you’ve known them for weeks or months, and then you see their true colors.

Let’s get this out of the way right now: it’s not your fault. <—

To be honest, if you ignore your intuition or the warning signs, it’s definitely a lesson. But when you’re starting out in business especially, I don’t blame you for wanting to embrace as many folks as possible to be successful.

That’s what it’s about, right?

Success = networking. Success = selling to the person “in pain.” Or success = collaborating until you’re exhausted to get more sales.

Um, not here…

Let’s talk about my system for navigating a few types of relationships in business, so you can try to stay aligned with who you are and what your calling is about as they come into your world! ⤵️

Here are the thoughts that I’ve got for you in this post:

  • Collaborations for networking
  • Collaborations for learning
  • Support systems and a community that cherishes you
  • Clients that are mediocre to your soul or ideal clients
  • The clients (and folks) you don’t love

Let’s Reflect and Wrap This Up:

If you’re going to take anything away from this space today, find aligned souls that teach you something as you bring your magic and purpose to life.

You don’t have to be everyone’s buddy or give 125% when they give 30%.

You don’t have to accept coffee chats with folks who feel sleazy or off-putting.

And you sure as Hell don’t have to stick to a game plan when it doesn’t feel right.

What I mean is, if you (as you journey and know more about who you are as a business owner) want to change how you approach your offers, your schedule, and how you run the show — groovy!

If folks tell you to do it their way with the “secret sauce,” question it. It might be a good fit, or it might be another bucket that they can go into: where you learn from that situation about what works for you and what doesn’t.

I could go on about this, but let’s end it here!
